ABOUT THE OWNER

Michelle A. Woodruff - Owner, Camellia Business Services

Over 25 years ago, I began my first job in an office setting as a file clerk in a busy personal injury law firm. After filing thousands of pieces of paper (with the painful paper cuts as proof), I considered running for the door and never looking back. But I stuck with it and learned business office administration from the ground up. 

I have had the privilege of working in many different environments over the years. The main area where I have always excelled is in providing administrative support. I quickly learned I was one of those whose co-workers frequently asked for help with unique software application issues; and that I had a knack for automating office processes to improve efficiency.  

In 2001 I earned my bachelor's degree in English with a concentration in Technical Writing from the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!). Since then, I have spent many years working in office settings and teaching the skills necessary to become an outstanding administrative support professional as a business office instructor in Morgan City, LA. 

I established Camellia Business Services in 2019 to serve the unique needs of businesses and individuals in South Louisiana. I hold certifications in multiple Microsoft versions for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook. I am also proficient in Publisher, Adobe Pro DC, and InDesign, and can work with a variety of distance learning applications and platforms including Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, Articulate, and Gnowbe (a very unique micro-learning platform).
